Background

Hello and welcome, I am Alex Foster, an Executive Creative Director and strategist originally from the UK, residing in Brooklyn NY, with over 18 years of experience in creative direction, branded content and advertising. In this time I have built and lead creative, production and content teams and worked with global brands at some of the worlds most exciting agencies, both big and indy, inc VMLY&R, Grey, Strawberry Frog, Beautiful Destinations, Lippe Taylor / Prompt, and most recently Code and Theory at Stagwell.

Some of my highlights include creating the fastest ever made superbowl spot for Cetaphil in 8 days, dominating coverage and bringing America to tears, developing a platform to reopen and excite travel to the USA after Covid, building an inclusive image bank with the Special Olympics to force sports brands to consider people with disabilities for their campaigns, rebranding multiple countries and even reimagining the Burj Al Arab in Dubai for a modern Audience.

My Approach

I've built my career as a marketer around brand stroytelling, crafting strategic creative and content campaigns as data lead, cohesive ecosystems of platform specific design and removing the one size fits all approach.

Not just a creative mind, but an operational one, I've built effective and game changing creative and production systems in agency and crafted efficiencies that allow both movement at the speed of culture and infrastructure for creative content at scale.

My work now is focused on developing clear and meaningful creative communications that cut through the noise pairing technology and culture and respecting an ever changing modern landscape of consumer communication opportunities.

As a leader I believe in a collaborative approach stretching across typical agency norms. Leading by example, I have a motto of 'No egos, just amigos,' and believe creativity is a relationship business, with an audience first approach built around understanding cultures and inclusivity.
